After graduating from North Park University with a B.S. in Business Administration, David began his career working on the trade desk with founders Mike Downs and Joe O’Neill. Soon after, he became a clerk in the Dairy pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. His job was to facilitate order flow and ensure proper execution for Downes O’Neill LLC clients.

David received his series 3 license, became a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He then became a broker / floor trader and manager of trading floor operations for Downes O’Neill. During his career David has acquired an acute understanding of the dairy industry, both domestic and international and has become one of the leading technical analysts for the dairy industry. He writes a Daily and Weekly technical column and is regularly called upon by major publications for his opinion. David has used his experience to help clients identify their risk, set up and implement risk management strategies that help add bottom line results.
