Kyle Schrad is a risk-management consultant with FCStone’s dairy brokerage subsidiary, Downes-O’Neill. Kyle has extensive experience as an agricultural producer, having owned and operated a 500-acre corn and soybean farm in southern Minnesota since he was 18 years old. He also spent many years working on his father’s 3,000-acre corn and soybean operation. From 1998 to 2004, Kyle also worked for Iowa Select, a hog processor located in central Iowa. He joined FCStone’s Minneapolis office in January, 2007 as a risk-management consultant, working with grain elevators in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. In June, 2008, he moved to Chicago to join Downes-O’Neill, which FCStone had acquired earlier in the year. Kyle holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management from the University of Minnesota.
