"Short futures hedgers have been "encouraged" by markets forces (spreads) to have short futures in KC and MGX vs CME I had Matt send me the open interest charts to look  and they highlight that fact – OI declining in CME and either near record highs in MGX or above the past few years in KC – big spring wheat crop and more commercial players in MGX part of the feature for MGX – look for this trend to continue more active KC trade with the calendar spreads the main feature." -Mike O'Dea
